## What it is

A canonical answer is the one approved phrasing for a question that gets asked repeatedly, held in a single place and reused everywhere it is needed. It is the claim-level equivalent of a golden record: not the only text that may ever be written on the subject, but the version that wins when versions differ.

## Why it matters

Support macros, sales one-pagers and website FAQs usually contain three different answers to the same question, each written by someone who could not find the others. Knowledge Company's register is designed to hold the one that wins. Collapsing them into one record with one owner removes the ambiguity for readers and for retrieval systems at the same time. The value shows up when the answer changes: the edit happens once and every surface built from it moves together.
